As I picked up my bags to throw into the car an old fortune cookie message fell out of the purse I’m carrying with me. It read, “All success is planned.” What a great way to start this trip!
The flight from PHX to LAX was seamless – just over an hour flight. The flight from LAZ to Dubai was Looonnnggg! Sixteen hours! However, I made it safe and sound. The passengers to my right were young sisters going to visit family and friends in India. I got caught up on some movies and even had Finding Nemo on in the background (those of you who know...that is my non-thinking movie that also serves as a drowsy and calming pill for me).
Orbitz still has me down as a Veggie - which I determined isn't such a bad thing. It's healthier and most importantly, you get your food first!!! :) Worth the special order if you ask me. The Dubai airport is outrageously large. A lot of malls and duty-free shopping.
Luckily, I haven't gotten too many stares since I've been here...only a couple. And, I'm NOT the only female showing my face. There are plenty of others. Thank goodness for international airports where there are people from everywhere so no one really stands out.
I’ve found a comfy red leather chair to enjoy at the moment and it may end up being my cot for the night too.
Tomorrow at 8:25 I fly out to Entebbe….
Until then, love and hugs!
xoxo
